Guidelines for presenters

Presentations and posters should be in English.

However, for Slovene speaking presenters there is a possibility to prepare the presentation in Slovene language. For these presentations we would kindly ask to prepare at least captions at figures and tables in both languages – beside Slovene also in English.

For international participants simultaneous interpreter of these presentations in English will be provided.

Oral presentations

Presentation should last 15 minutes, meaning 12 min of talk and 3 min of discussion/questions. Please do not exceed this time limitation!

Only PowerPoint or PDF files are acceptable for the presentation. Use landscape format (horizontal position). The Windows operating system will only be available.

Please remember, that text on the presentation must be readable from the back of the room, therefore we recommend the font size to be at least 18.

Send the final version of your presentation at least three days before the beginning of the conference to e-mail: life.artemis@ias-conference.si. Please use WeTransfer, if the document is too large for sending via e-mail.

However, your presentations could also be uploaded before 9.00 a.m. on the day, when you are presenting in the session room, with the help of the chair of the technical committee.

Please bring to the conference the backup of your presentation on a USB Memory Device.

Please, name your document with the last name of the first author.

Poster presentations

Poster presentations should be in portrait position. Poster size: A0 (84 x 120 cm) or slightly smaller, in portrait layout.

Please bring the printed version of your poster, because neither the organizers nor the conference venue has facilities to print your poster.

Please, make sure that your poster is understandable without an oral explanation and should be readable from at least 2 meters away.

Poster session is scheduled on the second conference day (26th September). We kindly ask authors to hang their posters at the beginning of the conference and to leave them on display by the end of the conference.

Presenters will receive the poster number code at the registration desk to hang their posters on the predetermined boards.

Posters must be attached on the numbered boards, using tape which will be provided at the registration desk.

You are responsible for the setup and take-down of your poster before and after the conference.

At least one of the authors should be present at own poster during the poster session (September 26th 11.45 – 12.45) to discuss the topic with other participants.
